Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha to Clash with Prabhas’ Fauzi

Shraddha Kapoor is entering an exciting phase of her career, with the blockbuster success of Stree 2 keeping her firmly among Bollywood’s most popular female stars. She is now teaming up with Laxman Utekar, who is also coming off the massive success of Chhaava, for Eetha. The period biographical drama is based on legendary Marathi Lavani and Tamasha artiste Vithabai Narayangaonkar. Shraddha Kapoor plays Vithabai, with Randeep Hooda, Nana Patekar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and others in the cast. The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Laxman Utekar, has now been moved to December 4, 2026, after initially being scheduled for August.

Prabhas’ Fauzi Arrives a Day Earlier

The new date puts Eetha in direct competition with Prabhas’ Fauzi, which is scheduled for a worldwide release on December 3, 2026. Coming after the disappointing theatrical run of The Raja Saab, Prabhas will next be seen in this ambitious period war drama directed by Sita Ramam fame Hanu Raghavapudi. Set against the backdrop of pre-Independence India, the film features Prabhas as a soldier and stars Imanvi, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher, with music by Vishal Chandrasekhar. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauzi is being mounted as a major pan-India spectacle and is expected to release across multiple languages.

A Friendly Face-Off at the Box Office

Interestingly, the two stars share a warm connection dating back to Saaho, which marked their first collaboration and Shraddha Kapoor’s Telugu debut. During the film’s making, the two reportedly became good friends, even helping each other with their Telugu and Hindi dialogues. Now, their respective films are set to arrive just a day apart, creating an intriguing December 2026 box-office clash. While Fauzi has the advantage of Prabhas’ enormous pan-India following, Eetha could be a serious competitor in the Hindi belt, particularly with Shraddha Kapoor’s popularity and Laxman Utekar’s recent success with Chhaava.
